The Illinois Clean Fuels project is designed to produce 30,000 barrels per day of ultra-clean diesel and jet fuel from municipal garbage, without reliance on subsidy.

Planned Project Features and Environmental Benefits:
 - 414,000,000 gallons per year of ultra-clean drop-in-replacement diesel and jet fuel.
 - First plant ever capable of commercial production of full lifecycle Carbon Neutral and Carbon Negative fuels, eliminating the climate impact of fuel production and use.
 - Competitive unsubsidized vs conventional oil down to $61/bbl Brent Crude. Much lower than that with subsidies included.
 - Qualifies for numerous subsidies, including Renewable Fuel Standard RINS, Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and Production Tax Credits currently estimated combined $2.37 per gal ($99.54/bbl).
 - Plant uses primarily municipal garbage-derived biomass feedstock.
 - Offers Illinois a zero landfill solution by implementing the advanced recycling of up to 14,000,000 tons of municipal waste annually.
 - Creates 3,000 jobs in Illinois.

Government Mandates for Cleaner Transportation Fuels:
The government is mandating cleaner transportation fuel use by airlines, railroads, trucking, military, and government transport fleets, or they may be fined for noncompliance. ICF expects to produce the highest possible quality compliance fuel, at the lowest cost.
